Judges Tasting Notes

Inky deep opaque colour, extends to rim with no sign of age. The nose is equally dense redolent with smoke, spice, leather, tightly packed fruit weight, firmly bound with tight but ripe tannins. A big wine, firm and strong, massive concentration carried with style and muscular grace.

Judges Tasting Notes

Lovely yellow colour with a gloss of lime green highlights. Intense rich nose offering lemon/lime marmalade, toast and candle wax. Palate is sweet nicely offset by crisp acidity and a lingering finish.

Judges Tasting Notes

Black purple red colour, intense and glossy. Dark concentrated jammy fruit on the nose, black plum, red cherry with spice, leather, smoke and earth. Grippy and decisive in the mouth, beautiful typicity of Saperavi. Youthful and uncompromising now but with superb cellaring potential.

Judges Tasting Notes

Dark blue purple with a crimson rim. Raspberry, cassis and tomato cocktail aromas, strong oak influence giving a coconut note but the palate shows enough fruit to handle it. Tannins are ripe and not at all aggressive. The wine is very young but will integrate over time.

Indian ink core colour with purple crimson highlights. Beautiful sexy nose, concentrated dried fruits, fruitcake, asian sweet spice, orange peel, pepper and coal with a core of black forest fruits. Complex palate, great concentration, with a wonderful Graves like mineral finish.

Judges Tasting Notes

Opaque red black colour to rim. Huge nose of concentrated black forest and tree fruits, warm earth and peppery spice, with a complexing feral whiff. Sweet fruit in the mouth, shot with spice and supportive big tannins, again with a superb wild note drawing the finish out. Lovely and very interesting.
